The NZDPU builds upon the existing partnership with CDP where in-scope data from all companies that report publicly through CDP is transmitted to the NZDPU and made available to all users. This includes direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2 and Scope 3) GHG emissions and GHG emissions reduction targets data.
NZDPU’s announcement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) in June 2023 marked the first regional data transmission collaboration for the Utility. MAS launched Project Greenprint in December 2020 and will allow participating companies to transmit GHG emissions data to the NZDPU.
Looking forward, the NZDPU is seeking to build partnerships with leading jurisdictions to obtain and ingest mandatory climate transition-related data, expanding company coverage at scale to support the NZDPU in reaching its full potential as a global, centralized, open repository for climate transition-related data.
